Name
Family Partnership in Mental Health: Learnings from Eastern Ontario
Date & Time
Tuesday, November 26, 2019, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Description
Think Tank Overview:
With the development of Ontario Health Teams and the move of children’s mental health services to the MOHLTC, the expectations for family partnership for our sector are changing. Although CMHO members have a long-standing practice of working with caregivers, in this new health care environment, members will have formal requirements and accountabilities related to caregiver partnership and family-informed services. The Change Foundation has collaborated with its Embrace Changing CARE partner at the Cornwall Community Hospital and PLEO – Parents’ Lifeline to share their knowledge and resources on leading practice in caregiver partnership and co-design. Firmly rooted in lived-experience, the think tank will tackle subjects such as privacy and consent, legal frameworks, and insights on co-design.

Think Tank Objective:
Support CYMH agencies to understand the Ontario caregiver experience and develop a robust plan for partnership , scaling and spreading a successful initiative in Eastern Ontario.
